What To Expect
All of us have been new at one time or another and know who awkward it can seem. At CLF you can EXPECT to find Love and Acceptance no matter who you are. You will be Warmly Welcomed be our CLF Family. Please feel free to ask question if you have them. Below we have answed a few of those which are commonly asked at CLF.
We look forward to getting to know you better soon.
What Should I Wear? -At Christian Life Fellowship, we have people from all walks of life. The bible tells us that man looks on the outward appearance but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Most people dress comfortably and we are not concerned with trying to impress each other. We are more concerned about honoring God by the way we live. Our hearts, therefore, are more important than our apparel.
How would you decribe the celebration (worship) service?
Our main goal is to honor God in our music, message, and media. Our style is contemporary and our sermons are scriptural, relevent and practical.
How Long Does The Service Last?
Our typical services last about an hour usually.
Where Do My Kids Go during Worship?
CLF offers a great experience for children for ages birth through 5th grade to learn in their own age appropriate environment on Sunday mornings. We are a family friendly church and your children are welcome to join you for the service, but we have passionate teachers who work hard to prepare Biblical lessons each week that challenge our Kids to honor God with their lives.
We have a structured check-in process to make sure that each child is accounted for. When you arrive please in the lobby please check your child in at the welcome center.
What Bible Do You Use?
We typically preach and teach from the New Living Translation, but other versions are used as well. Our Pastors take their responsibility to teach seriously, and they strive to take into account the historical background of the passages they are teaching from.
What Denomination Are You?
We are Baptist. We are in a part of the Southern Baptist Conservitives of Virginia (SBCV) and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)
For all other questions on the beliefs of CLF refer to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. http://www.sbc.net/bfm/bfm2000.asp
