CLF is excited to welcome Pastor Shane Carr, his wife Megan, and their children to the CLF family.
On Sunday, January 31, 2021, Pastor Carr preached in view of a call at CLF. Following the service, a special meeting was held where the pastor search team recommended Pastor Carr as our next pastor. The church members affirmed the recommendation by unanimous vote.
The Carr family is making arrangements to move to the area. Please be in prayer for them during this transition.

Dear CLF Family,
The Pastor Search Team is excited to announce that we will be presenting and recommending a prospective pastor on Sunday, January 31, 2021. He will be preaching in view of a call for the service at 10:30 A.M.
Following the service, we will hold a business meeting to present the pastor as recommended by the Pastor Search Team for affirmation by the membership of CLF.
He and his family will be in the area the weekend of January 29-31. We will be sharing a schedule for our church family meet the prospective pastor and his family on Saturday, January 30. The Pastor Search Team asks for your continued prayers as we proceed through the search process. As you can imagine, the restrictions of the pandemic have made the process more challenging.
We have received training and continued advisement from our SBCV Regional Catalyst, Travis Ingle. The pastor vacancy notice was posted on both the SBC of Virginia and the SBC websites.
We have received and reviewed numerous resumes and sermon submissions from applicants. Upon the review, the team narrowed the list of potential candidates and continued the process of getting to know more about them. We have held virtual and in-person meetings and interviews.
The team is currently considering a candidate. We have met the candidate and his wife both in person and through video conferencing. The team has reviewed multiple sermon videos and attended a service to hear the candidate in person. We have also received and reviewed multiple references for this candidate. Recently, the pastor candidate and his wife visited the area and completed additional interviews. We are currently conducting background checks.
As this process continues, the pastor search team, the pastor candidate and his family need your prayers for wisdom, clear direction, guidance and peace as we pursue God's will for CLF.

Dear CLF Family,
We, as a Pastor Search Team, believe that this is a time of great importance in our church’s history. We have been given the opportunity to seek God’s face and ask for His wisdom in determining whom He has called to be the next pastor of Christian Life Fellowship. We believe that this should be a time of great excitement and enthusiasm for our church, and we know that we are in need of supernatural discernment through this process.
We thank you for trusting our leadership and are asking for you to join us as we pray through this season of preparing for our next pastor. James 5:16 states, “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” With this in mind, we need to be right with God and come to Him with a clean conscience so that our prayers are not hindered. We have been seeking God’s will for CLF and it is a task we do not take lightly. We ask for your prayers during this season of transition and change. We want to build unity and have clear knowledge of God’s will for the future Lead Pastor. Listed below are the names of the members serving on our Pastor Search Team. Please pray for them daily.
